Prima marine proteins and oils
– from fresh chilled pelagic raw material

We produce high quality marine proteins and marine oils from superior pelagic whole fish and trimmings collected from seafood processing plants. Our products are delivered to the major producers of fish feed both domestically and internationally.

Production takes place in top modern facilities in Egersund, an ideal location and close proximity to the fishing grounds in the North Sea. Our factory is the closest to the catch areas for Sandeel and Norway pout in the North Sea, so here we are literally speaking about locally sourced.

Egersund Harbour has a long-standing historical tradition for receiving and processing fish. To ensure top quality, we only use raw materials approved for human consumption that are delivered by a modern fishing fleet with excellent cooling facilities on board.

What is pelagic raw material?
Pelagic fish (from greek pelagos, ocean) can be categorized as coastal and oceanic fish, based on the depth of the water they inhabit and where they hunt freely. Blue whiting, Sandeel, Norway pout and Sprat are important pelagic fish species that we use in production and which form the basis of marine raw material for the feed industry. Trimmings and by-products from pelagic fishery are also a valuable source of raw material. We utilizes 100% of the fish!
